I think it is good idea, personly they can make it more of rpg thing. By choosing a boss and do a bio on the boss.It doesnot have to be a boss but a place in the game. i think the events thing rocks too.

there could new on where about on gwen. new pve build vs the pvp builds :P cool stuff like that

I think its ****, (...four letters and starts with C, take a guess)

1) It shows favoritism in a world wide game(dont get me started)
2) It encourages new players to whisper said players and ask for acts of kindness as well, which is quite annoying
3) In this "Issue" it goes to show ANet, doesnt even like,or supports their own idea about "Elite Missions", again dont get me started.

Sorry ANet but you still favor PvP way too much, better luck for the pro's who made The true Guild Wars

Well, I like the scribe idea and reading the little newsletter doohickey was nice. Sometimes it's good to get away from the negativity of forums and just read something pleasant and light.

I reckon it will rub off on some of the players, they'll be in towns doing good stuff to try and get into The Scribe.

I think the Alliance battle bit was to make it seem like something good is actually happening...when it means nothing.

To the nay-sayers: Exactly what would you say is wrong with this? "It encourages people to ask for stuff," maybe, but I doubt it. I get the feeling they're looking at local chat type stuff. It would be kind of weird if they just went over some random PM logs. Also, I think most people are smart enough to realize that they aren't going to get mentioned for giving items to people who say "gimme your stuff to get mentioned in the scribe!!111" So what if some people get mentioned for doing good things? It's pretty ridiculous to criticize this, as it's not depriving you of ANYTHING to not "get in." It's not "rewarding" anyone at all, unless you find it so necessary for your ego that you just HAVE to get mentioned and be "famous".

To sum up: There are always going to be whiners about everything.

Thank you for understanding. Some will like it, some won't. It's really ok! So for those who don't understand or care for the notion, please do feel free to avoid reading The Scribe. But for those who value the excellent spirit of our community, and feel it's a lovely gesture to call out a few of those who contribute, we hope you'll continue to enjoy the issues!

I think it's pretty neat, myself. About time something other than those mind-numbingly basic "state of the game" PvP articles were posted.

E3. Hardcore gameplayers and ppl in the gaming industrie have time to go to that or the casuel player who happens to live in that town.

And oh Mistress whats wrong with helping new players? It's not like YOU are forced to do it.

The Scribe is a nice touch from A-net.

THANK you A-Net.

Oh and you know what ANet's "own idea about Elite Missions" is ? You apply your own interpretation of what you "think" it should be and attribute that to ANet.
